85th Avenue North St. Pete Aprons
85th Avenue North sits in north St. Petersburg, where older aprons meet a city gutter and a slab that was not poured to the same height. A thin sand set lets the first row rock after summer rain.
What the apron has to do
The apron has to carry a car, shed water toward the street, and stop before the gutter lip. We cut the failed edge, rebuild the base, and set the field so tires do not drop into a low joint.
Compacted aggregate under the tire path, not patio sand. Edge restraint pinned so the first course cannot creep into the right-of-way. Pitch away from the garage, not into it.
How a repair starts
Send photos of the apron, the gutter, and the low spots. PaverForge Hardscapes walks 85th Avenue North lots from our St. Pete Beach shop and quotes the rebuild, not a color swap. Call 727-490-9798.
