87th Street North St. Pete Walkways
A front walk on 87th Street North has two jobs: a clean path from the sidewalk, and a surface that does not hold water at the entry. Many of these paths were set on sand and now rock at the gate or the first step.
Path, pitch, edge
We meet the public sidewalk flush so the joint is not a toe catcher. The walk pitches toward the lawn, not back at the door. A rigid edge keeps the field from migrating into the grass after mowing season.
Irrigation overspray is common on these lots. We set the edge so heads are not buried, and we do not trap a rotor under the new field. Joint sand is locked after compaction.
Walkway quote
Send photos of the sidewalk joint, the entry, and any low spots to PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798. We size the base for foot traffic and the occasional cart, not a driveway load.
