88th Street North St. Pete Side Yards
Side yards on 88th Street North are narrow. A condenser, a hose bib, and a gate leave a strip that still has to drain. Pavers set flat in that strip pond against the foundation after a summer rain.
What we leave room for
The gate has to swing. The condenser needs service clearance, and the pad under it should not be buried by the new field. We pitch the path to a lawn or a drain that already leaves the lot, and we keep the finished surface below the weep screed.
Edge restraint is what stops the field from walking into the mulch. If the soil is soft, we excavate and compact a real base instead of topping the old sand.
