96th Avenue North St. Pete Courtyards
96th Avenue North courtyards are the space between the house, the garage, and a side gate. They take foot traffic, a grill, and irrigation overspray that washes joint sand out of a thin set. After a few wet seasons the field rocks and holds a puddle against the lanai slab.
Courtyard spec for this street
These yards are tighter than a mainland three-car drive. Material often comes through a gate, not a dump-truck path. We size the base for a patio load, pitch it away from the house, and keep the edge restraint where the irrigation heads cannot undercut it.
Re-level when the stones are sound and only the bedding has settled
Rebuild the base where the last crew set pavers on sand over fill
Positive drainage to a lawn edge or an existing drain, not toward the slider
Joint sand locked after compaction so overspray does not empty the joints
