Bay Street NE Old Northeast Walkways
Bay Street NE is the water-side walk in Old Northeast, a short run from the house to Coffee Pot Bayou. The water table sits close, and a walk that looks fine in March can rock after the first king tide week.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds those walks from St. Pete Beach. Call 727-490-9798 or use https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
Water before color
We do not set a sand-only bed on bayou fill. The sequence is excavate, compacted aggregate, a pitch that does not dump into the seawall panel, and a rigid edge. Color is the last conversation.
Salt air fades a painted face faster than a mainland walk. We specify through-body color and talk sealing only after the joints have locked and the field has had a wet season.
What we measure
Finished elevation against the house slab and the seawall cap, not against the mulch.
A module that clears the gate and any dock-hose bib.
Edge restraint that can be reset if the cap settles.
No pavers locked over a seawall weep or a cleanout.
Staging that does not block the only neighbor path to the dock.
A walk that pumps at the bayou end needs a base rebuild. A walk that only rocks at one root can be re-leveled.
We work Bay Street NE with Beach Drive NE, North Shore Drive, and the Coffee Pot grid from the same shop.
