Elm Street NE Old Northeast Walkways
Elm Street NE walks run from a brick public street to a porch that was never built for a modern concrete ribbon. The old path is often too narrow, cracked at the step, and higher than the sidewalk joint. A paver walk can land on the brick elevation and still rise cleanly to the porch without a random ramp.
Landing both ends
We set the street landing so it does not create a lip against the brick, and we set the porch landing with a comfortable riser. Irrigation and low-voltage lighting go in sleeves before the base. Where a tree well interrupts the run, the walk jogs rather than cutting the flare.
Flush joint at the brick street
Even riser at the porch
Sleeves for light and irrigation
Width enough for a delivery cart
