Flush AC Disconnect Grade Rings in a Paver Pad
The condenser pad is only half the detail. Next to it, the disconnect and the whip usually sit on a post or a small rack that lands inside the new paver field. Pave tight to that cover and the next service call chips the border, or the tech cannot open the door. PaverForge Hardscapes sets a flush grade ring so the disconnect stays serviceable and the pavers are not asked to hold the post.
What the ring is doing
The ring is a collar at finished grade around the disconnect cover, not a second equipment pad and not the line-set chase we sleeve through the field. It keeps polymeric sand and edge restraint out of the cover swing, and it gives the border a clean stop so the field can move a little without cracking against a fixed post. We leave the working clearance the electrician needs and we do not bury the whip or the condensate line.
Where it belongs
Use it when a screen-cage floor, a side-yard walk, or a new driveway edge is coming up to an existing condenser. If the disconnect is already too low for the new grade, the electrician raises it before we set the ring. If the pad itself has sunk, we rebuild that pad separately so the unit is not sitting in a bowl. The ring does not replace a shutoff clearance, and it is not a place to hide a junction.
