Flush Irrigation Zone-Valve Box Collars in Pinellas Paver Beds
A zone-valve box that sticks up in a paver bed becomes a trip edge, and a box buried under a full field becomes a guessing game the next time a solenoid fails. PaverForge Hardscapes sets a flush collar so the lid sits level with the pavers and can still be lifted.
How the collar is built
We locate the existing box before the field is screeded, raise or lower the box to finished grade, and frame it with cut pavers on a compacted shoulder. The lid stays inside a lift-out border, not glued under polymeric sand. The box is kept out of the wheel path and out of the screen-cage door swing.
This is the main zone-valve box, not a drip-zone satellite or a quick-coupler. Those get their own collars. The zone box is usually larger, so the frame uses a soldier course and a geotextile lip so bedding sand does not fall into the valve pit.
When to add one
Add the collar during a new driveway, a patio overlay excavation, or a re-level that already has the field up. Retrofitting a single box into a sound field is possible, but the cut has to be compacted or the border will rock. Call 727-490-9798 to schedule the collar with the rest of the hardscape.
