Flush Seawall Batter-Pile Inspection Plates
A batter pile is the angled pile that takes lateral load on a Pinellas seawall. When the cap and the paver walk bury the connection, the only way to look at it later is to cut the field.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets a flush inspection plate in the cap or the landing so the joint, the hardware, and the pile head can be opened without tearing the walk. Call 727-490-9798.
What the plate is for
The plate is an access panel, not a decorative lid. It sits flush with the cap or the paver surface, locks down, and comes off when a marine contractor needs to see the batter-pile connection, the corrosion at the hardware, or the joint in the cap. We do not hide that point under a continuous field.
How it meets the pavers
The plate is set in the compacted base or the cap recess, restrained, and cut tight so the edge does not rock under foot traffic. Drainage off the cap still has to leave the walk. A plate that ponds is a plate that rusts shut.
Send the seawall cap, the walk, and any known batter-pile locations. We walk the lot before we lock a number.
