Flush Seawall Boarding-Ladder Hinge Plates

A flush boarding-ladder hinge plate keeps the seawall-cap pavers level around a ladder hinge that still has to fold for a boat.

The marine contractor owns the ladder, the hinge, and the fasteners. We own the paver bay that stays flush and lifts later.

What the plate is

It is a framed opening in the cap walk, set flush so a hose and a cart still cross it. The hinge sits in the recess, not proud of the field. We do not grout the hinge to the pavers.

Pitch leaves the recess high enough that rinse water does not sit in the bay. We come back to reset the walk if the marine crew resets the hinge.
