Flush Seawall Boat-Hook Socket Plates
A boat hook lives on the dock until someone leaves it on the cap. The next cart, hose, or bare foot finds it. A flush socket plate gives the hook a home that sits even with the seawall-cap pavers and lifts out when the socket needs service.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets those plates on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work. The marine contractor owns the socket, the fastener, and anything bonded to the wall. We own the paver bay that stays flush.
What the plate is
It is a framed opening in the cap walk, set flush so a hose and a cart still cross it. The socket sits in the recess, not proud of the field. The frame is isolated from the socket so a future pull does not crack the surrounding courses. We do not grout the socket to the pavers.
Flush with the cap walk, pitched so rinse water does not sit in the bay
Frame independent of the socket so the hook can be lifted later
No grout lock between the lid and the field
Neighboring courses left locked so the bay does not become a dip
