Flush Seawall Cap-Bolt Inspection Plates
Canal seawalls in Pinellas often have a paver walk poured or set right over the cap bolts. The walk looks finished until a marine contractor needs the bolts and has to cut the field. A flush inspection plate keeps the walk continuous and the bolts reachable.
What the plate is
It is a small, liftable paver bay, framed so it sits flush with the walk and does not become a trip edge. The opening is only as large as the bolt group. The rest of the cap walk stays locked. We do not cut a random hole and call it access.
Opening sized to the bolt group, not the whole cap
Frame restrained so the surrounding field cannot creep
Lid flush with the walk, with a lift point that does not catch a bare foot
Pitch on the walk unchanged, so the plate does not pond
How to start
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798. Photos of the cap walk and the bolt locations are enough to say whether a plate fits the existing field. We walk the seawall before we lock a number.
