Flush Seawall Cap Joint Isolation Pads
A seawall cap in Pinellas moves. Tide, soil, and a long concrete cap do not sit still the way a patio does.
A paver walk butted tight to that cap joint will crack the soldier course and pump sand out of the first two rows.
What the isolation pad does
We cut the field back from the cap, set a small isolation pad at the joint, and leave a joint the cap can move in without lifting the walk.
The pad is flush so a bare foot and a dock cart do not catch an edge. It is also a piece we can lift if the cap is repaired later.
Where this shows up
Canal lots in Pinellas Point, Bahia Shores, and the beach islands all have the same detail: a finished walk that dies into a seawall cap.
PaverForge Hardscapes builds the pad with the walk, not as an afterthought. Call 727-490-9798 or book at paverforge.com/book-online.
