Flush Seawall Concrete-Panel Lifting Socket Plates
Canal seawalls on the Pinellas side often use concrete panels with a cast-in lifting socket left in the cap. Covering that socket with a continuous paver field means the next inspection cuts the walk.
A liftable bay, not a patched hole
We set a small flush plate of pavers over the socket, restrained on its own edge, so a marine contractor can lift the bay, check the insert, and set the field back without sawing the cap walk. The plate sits flush with the cap so a hose and a dock cart do not catch a lip.
Pitch still leaves the house. The socket plate is not a drain. If the cap ponds, we fix the pitch of the walk first. We do not grout the lifting socket shut to make the field look continuous.
Where this belongs
Panel seawalls in St. Pete, Shore Acres, and the canal blocks where the cap is already a walk. PaverForge Hardscapes builds the plate with the cap pavers. Call 727-490-9798 or start at paverforge.com/services.
