Flush Seawall Courtesy-Bell Base Plates
A courtesy bell at the dock is how a guest boat gets a hand off the wall. Once the cap is paved, a bell bolted through the field becomes a trip and a crack line.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets a flush base plate so the bolt pattern stays serviceable and a hose cart still crosses the bay.
What the plate is
It is a framed opening in the cap walk, set flush. The bell foot sits in the recess, not proud of the field. The frame is isolated from the bell so a future pull does not crack the surrounding courses. We do not grout the bell to the pavers.
The marine contractor owns the bell, any wiring, and the wall. We own the paver bay that lifts later. Pitch leaves the recess high enough that rinse water does not sit in the bay.
What it is not
It is not a structural plate for the wall, and it is not a substitute for a bonding check if the bell is electric. If the cap is already rotating, the marine contractor leads.
PaverForge sets these plates on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
