Flush Seawall Depth-Gauge Recess Plates
A flush depth-gauge recess plate sets a canal water-depth mark in the seawall-cap pavers so the plate is not a toe catch when someone walks the cap.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets those plates on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work. The marine contractor owns the wall and the gauge. We own the paver bay that stays flush and lifts later.
What the plate is
It is a framed recess in the cap walk, set flush so a hose and a cart still cross it. The frame is isolation, not structure for the wall. We do not grout the gauge to the field.
Pitch leaves the recess high enough that rinse water does not sit in the bay. We do not cover a weep, a tie-rod end, or a flap gate with the same plate.
What it is not
It is not a survey monument and it is not a repair for a wall that is already rotating. If the cap is spalling under the gauge, the marine contractor leads. We come back to reset the walk once the mark is where they say it is.
