Flush Seawall Dinghy-Rack Base Plates
A dinghy rack on a Pinellas seawall cap fails when the feet bolt straight into the concrete. The rack rocks, the cap spalls around the anchors, and the bolts become a trip edge on the walkway behind the wall.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets flush dinghy-rack base plates so the rack lands on a plate that is level with the cap, not on raw anchors. Call 727-490-9798 or book a walkthrough at paverforge.com/book-online.
What the plate is for
The plate spreads the rack load, keeps the bolt heads flush, and gives the next inspection a clean edge instead of a cracked pocket. We pitch the plate so washdown and rain do not sit in the recess. Salt hardware gets a spec that can be lifted later without breaking the cap.
This is a hardscape detail at the seawall, not a marine structural repair. If the cap itself is moving, we say so before we set a plate on it.
How to start
Send a photo of the rack feet and the cap joint. We typically reply the same business day and walk the wall before we lock a number. We cover St. Pete, Gulfport, Treasure Island, and the north county canals from the same crew.
