Flush Seawall Dock-Camera Conduit Collars
A dock camera needs a conduit through the seawall-cap pavers. Once the field is locked, a proud sleeve is a toe catch and a hose snag. A flush conduit collar keeps the cable path serviceable without a bump in the walk.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets those collars on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
What the collar is
It is a framed opening in the cap walk, set flush so a cart and a hose still cross it. The low-voltage or camera contractor owns the camera, the cable, and the bonding. We own the paver bay that stays flush and lifts later.
How it is built
Locate the conduit line with the camera contractor before the walk is locked
Set a rigid frame so the surrounding field can be compacted without dropping into the opening
Keep the collar flush with the cap walk and pitched so it does not become a pond
Leave the bay liftable. Do not mortar the sleeve lid to the pavers
Do not cover a weep, a tie-rod end, or a flap gate with the same collar
What it is not
It is not a mount for the camera, and it is not a repair for a wall that is already rotating. If the cap is spalling or the conduit is already cracked through the wall, the marine contractor leads. We frame the paver bay around a line they have already accepted.
If a camera sleeve is rocking the cap pavers, call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
