Flush Seawall Downspout Splash Collars
A roof downspout that dumps on a seawall cap walk cuts a hole in the joints and sends roof water back toward the wall. Once the pavers lock over that spot, the only repair is to pull the field.
What the collar is
A flush splash collar is a liftable bay of pavers around the leader outlet, set on a bed that can come up without breaking the rest of the walk. The pitch runs off the cap, not back to the panel joint. The outlet stays visible.
When we set one
We set them on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work, when a new cap walk would otherwise bury the downspout splash. The collar is not a drain permit and it is not a seawall repair. If the leader is broken or the cap is cracked, that work comes first.
What stays open
The outlet, the splash zone, and any weep at the panel stay reachable. We come back to reset the bay after a roofer moves the leader.
