Flush Seawall Fender-Hook Base Plates
A fender hook on a seawall cap keeps a fender or a line off the coping. Bolted proud of the pavers, it catches a hose, stubs a toe, and rusts where the fastener sits in the splash zone.
What the plate is
It is a framed bay in the cap walk, set flush so a cart still crosses it. The hook sits in the bay, not above the field. The frame is isolation, not structure for the wall. The marine contractor owns the hook, the fasteners, and the bonding. We own the paver bay that lifts later.
How it is set
Locate the hook line before the cap walk is locked. Keep the plate flush and pitched so rinse water does not sit in the bay. We do not grout the hook to the pavers. A future pull should not crack the surrounding courses.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets these plates on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
