Flush Seawall Fender Post Isolation Pads
Why isolate the fender post
A seawall fender post takes the energy of a docking boat. If the post is bolted straight to the cap, that energy cracks the concrete and settles the pavers behind it. We set a flush isolation pad of neoprene or a concrete collar with a flexible joint so the post can move without walking the field.
The pad is recessed so it stays flush with the walkway or the dock surface. Drainage is kept clear so water does not sit in the recess and corrode the hardware.
Where we use them
These pads appear on private seawalls in Crystal Beach, Ozona, Palm Harbor, and the barrier islands we serve. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online to walk a seawall and specify the isolation detail.
