Flush Seawall Fire-Extinguisher Recess Plates
A flush fire-extinguisher recess plate sets a marine extinguisher cabinet into the seawall cap or dock-edge pavers so the door is not a toe catch on the walk.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets those plates on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work. The marine contractor owns the cabinet, the charge, and the mounting. We own the paver bay that stays flush and lifts later. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
What the plate is
It is a framed opening in the cap walk, set flush so a hose and a cart still cross it. The cabinet sits in the recess, not proud of the field. The frame is isolation, not structure for the wall.
We do not grout the cabinet door to the pavers. A future pull should lift the bay without cracking the surrounding courses. Pitch leaves the recess high enough that rinse water does not sit in the cabinet.
What we do not do
We do not specify the extinguisher, the inspection tag, or the bonding of any metal cabinet. If the cap itself is moving, that is a wall question before it is a paver question.
For a recess plate on an existing cap walk, call 727-490-9798 or email PaverForge@gmail.com with a photo of the cabinet and the walk it sits in.
