Flush Seawall Fish-Cleaning Table Drain Collars
A flush fish-cleaning table drain collar keeps rinse water, scale, and bait scraps in a pipe instead of on the seawall cap or the dock pavers.
Pinellas canal and bay lots often set a cleaning table on the cap. Without a collar, the drain puddles, stains the joints, and feeds algae on a hot afternoon.
What the collar does
The plate sits flush with the paver field or the cap so a hose, a cart, and a bare foot do not catch it. The drain drops to a trapped line, not onto the riprap.
We pitch the surrounding field away from the house and away from the table legs. A collar does not fix a field that already ponds. The base and the pitch come first.
The plate lifts when the trap needs a cleanout. Saw-cutting a finished patio to reach a clogged table drain is the job this detail is meant to avoid.
