Flush Seawall Flag-Halyard Cleat Plates
A flag-halyard cleat on a seawall cap is a small fitting that still has to be reached. If the pavers are grouted to it, the first pull cracks the field.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets flush flag-halyard cleat plates on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
What the plate is
It is a framed bay in the cap walk, set flush so a hose and a cart still cross it. The cleat and the halyard hardware sit in the bay. The frame is isolated from the fitting so a future pull does not open the surrounding courses.
The marine contractor owns the cleat, the fasteners, and any bonding. We own the paver bay that stays flush and lifts later. We do not grout the cleat to the pavers.
What it is not
It is not a repair for a cap that is already rotating, and it is not a substitute for the cleat. If the fastener is loose in the wall, the marine contractor leads. Pitch leaves the plate high enough that rinse water does not sit in the bay.
