Flush Seawall Fuel-Vent Collars
A flush fuel-vent collar is the paver detail around a boat-tank vent fitting where it exits the seawall cap or the dock-edge field. The fitting sits in a metal or stone collar, flush with the walking surface, so it is not a toe catch and fuel-vapor weep does not stain a raw core in the cap.
What the collar is, and is not
PaverForge builds the recess and the collar with the cap pavers. We do not install, size, or certify the fuel vent, the tank, or the fill. That stays with the marine contractor. The collar is the hardscape so the fitting can be serviced without breaking the field.
Why a raw core fails
A hole cored through the cap collects grit, rocks the fitting, and leaves a stained ring after the first season. The collar gives the fitting a finished seat and a joint that can be re-sanded.
