Flush Seawall Holding-Tank Vent Collars
A holding-tank vent that punches a finished seawall cap or a dock-side paver field needs a collar, not a saw-cut patched with mortar. On Pinellas seawalls the vent is small, the cap is the structural edge, and a sloppy penetration becomes the place salt water sits. PaverForge Hardscapes sets flush vent collars so the pipe can be serviced and the paver field still drains.
What the collar is for
The collar is a paver and concrete detail around the vent penetration. It is not a plumbing redesign and it is not a permit for the tank. We coordinate the opening with the marine or plumbing trade that owns the pipe, then build a restrained, pitched collar so washdown water does not run down the vent or pond on the cap.
Opening sized to the existing vent, not guessed from a photo.
Pitch off the penetration so washdown water leaves the collar.
A paver field that can be lifted if the vent fitting is replaced.
No mortar smear across the cap joint that is supposed to move.
How to start
Send a photo of the vent, the cap, and the pavers around it. Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online. We will say whether the collar is a half-day detail or part of a larger cap repair.
