Flush Seawall Ice-Chest Recess Plates
A dock ice chest set on a seawall cap rocks, holds meltwater, and leaves a rust ring in the joint. PaverForge sets a flush recess plate so the chest has a level, isolated seat that does not trip the walk.
What the recess plate does
The plate is set flush with the cap or the dock edge. The chest sits in a shallow recess so it does not walk in a boat wake, and meltwater is pitched off the structural joint instead of ponding on the concrete. We do not cut a sound cap just to hide a cooler. If the cap is already spalled, that repair comes first.
These plates show up on Ozona, Crystal Beach, and Palm Harbor docks where the ice chest lives between the fish table and the walk. Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 or paverforge@gmail.com, or book a photo review at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
Questions we get
A flush ice-chest recess plate is a reinforced plate set in the seawall cap so a dock cooler sits level without a proud lip. Isolating the plate keeps meltwater and chest weight off the structural cap joint. PaverForge Hardscapes installs them across Pinellas. Call 727-490-9798.
