Flush Seawall Kayak-Roller Recess Plates
A flush kayak-roller recess plate sets a removable launch roller in the seawall-cap pavers so the opening is not a toe catch when the roller is stored. PaverForge Hardscapes builds that plate on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work.
What the plate is
The roller has to come out for a launch and go away when the cap is a walk. A raised socket trips bare feet and catches dock lines. The plate is a rigid frame in the cap field, finished flush, with a liftable lid or a socket that sits at paver grade.
How it is built
Locate the launch line with the dock builder before the cap walk is locked.
Set a rigid frame so the surrounding field can be compacted without dropping into the opening.
Keep the plate flush with the cap pavers and pitched so it does not pond.
Leave the roller removable without pulling the border course.
Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online if the kayak roller is rocking the cap pavers or sitting proud of the walk.
