Flush Seawall Ladder Rung Isolation Plates

A ladder rung on a seawall cap is a small metal or composite piece that still has to come out for inspection or replacement. Once the cap walk is paved, the only way to reach it is to cut the field.

What the plate is

It is a framed opening set flush with the cap walk so a hose and a cart still cross it. The frame isolates the rung from the surrounding courses. The marine contractor owns the rung and the wall. We own the paver bay that lifts later without cracking the field.
