Flush Seawall Livewell Drain Collars
A livewell that dumps onto the seawall cap leaves a dark fan of scale and a slick patch at the dock. On Pinellas canals that overflow also finds the cap bolts. PaverForge sets a flush drain collar in the dock pavers so the livewell discharge has a path off the walking surface.
Collar, not a hole in the cap
The collar is a formed ring in the paver field, finished level with the dock, with a short trapped run to a scupper or dock drain. It is isolated from the seawall cap so a later cap repair does not mean cutting the drain out of the wall. The ring is sized to the existing overflow, not to a generic deck drain.
Keep livewell overflow off the aluminum coping and the cap bolts.
Finish the collar flush so a dock cart does not catch a raised rim.
Pitch the pocket to the scupper, not back toward the house.
Leave the plumbing connection removable for the marine contractor.
If the current overflow already stains the cap, we do not core the cap to hide it. The collar goes in the paver field and the hose is redirected.
