A private navigational light on a Pinellas seawall cap needs a seat that stays flush with the paver walk. A fixture screwed into loose pavers rocks, opens the joint, and lets splash under the field.
What the plate does
We set a flush plate in the cap walk, sleeve the conduit so the wire is not trapped under a paver, and isolate the plate from the field so a fixture swap does not break the pattern.
The plate sits level with the walking surface. Pitch still leaves the house. The joint around the plate is a maintenance line, not a crack that wanders into the field.
