Flush Seawall Paddleboard-Rack Base Plates
A flush paddleboard-rack base plate keeps the seawall-cap pavers level around the bolt pattern that holds a stand-up board rack. The rack still has to come off for service. The walk still has to stay flush for a hose and a cart.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets those plates on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work. The marine contractor owns the rack, the bolts, and the cap structure. We own the paver bay that stays flush and lifts later.
What the plate is
It is a framed opening in the cap walk, set flush so a hose and a cart still cross it. The bolt pattern sits in the recess, not proud of the field. The frame is isolated from the rack so a future pull does not crack the surrounding courses.
We do not grout the rack feet to the pavers. Pitch leaves the recess high enough that rinse water does not sit in the bay. We do not cover a weep, a tie-rod end, or a flap gate with the same plate.
What it is not
It is not a structural base for the rack, and it is not a repair for a wall that is already rotating. If the cap is moving, the marine contractor leads. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online if the rack feet are rocking the cap pavers.
