Flush Seawall Paddleboard-Rack Footing Plates
A paddleboard rack lagged into a seawall cap looks fine until a bolt head trips a bare foot or a storm racks the frame and cracks the concrete. A flush footing plate puts the load on a replaceable insert set level with the cap.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets flush paddleboard-rack footing plates with seawall-side hardscape from St. Pete Beach through the north-county canals. Call 727-490-9798 or book at paverforge.com/book-online.
What the plate is doing
The plate is a recessed pad in the cap or the dock landing, pitched so rain leaves the pocket instead of staining the concrete. The rack bolts to the insert. The cap is not the wear surface. This is a hardscape detail at the water edge. It is not a structural seawall repair and it is not a kayak-launch roller.
Flush with the cap so lines and feet do not catch a bolt
Pitch or a weep so the recess does not hold water
A replaceable insert if the rack is swapped later
Set with the landing pavers, not as an afterthought on cured concrete
Where it belongs
Canal lots in Palm Harbor, Ozona, and the beach towns are the usual call, next to a landing that already needs pitch and edge restraint. Send a photo of the cap and the rack you want. We will say whether the plate can sit in the landing or needs the cap itself. We walk the edge before we lock a number.
