Flush Seawall Pile-Boot Inspection Plates
A pile boot or jacket sits at the waterline, then disappears under the seawall cap and the paver field behind it. The next time a dock crew needs to look at that boot, someone cuts the pavers. PaverForge Hardscapes sets a flush inspection plate in the cap field so that check does not mean a new hardscape job.
What the plate is
The plate is a framed opening in the paver field, set flush with the walking surface, over the pile boot or jacket access the marine contractor marks. It is not a structural repair of the seawall and it is not a substitute for a marine survey. It is the hardscape piece that keeps the cap walkable and the access findable.
Opening sized to the boot access the dock crew actually needs
Frame restrained so the surrounding pavers do not creep into the gap
Plate set flush so it is not a trip edge on the cap
Pitch kept so the plate does not become a pond on the walk
What we do not do
We do not design the pile, the boot, or the seawall. A marine contractor marks the access. We build the flush plate and the paver field around it, then lock the joints. If the cap itself has settled, we say so before we set the plate on a moving base.
How to start
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798. Send a photo of the cap, the pile, and where the boot disappears under the pavers. Hardscape scope is at paverforge.com/services.
