Flush Seawall Return-Pipe Splash Collars
Canal lots in Pinellas often have a return pipe through the seawall: a pool backwash line, a deck drain outfall, or a small storm outlet. When that pipe dumps onto open joints, the sand leaves and the first course rocks.
What a splash collar is
A splash collar is a tight paver ring or pad set just below the pipe so discharge lands on a hard surface and runs to the seawall cap or a planted bed, not into the joint sand. The collar sits flush with the walk so it is not a trip edge. We do not core the seawall, extend the pipe, or certify the plumbing.
Where it belongs
The collar only works if the pipe already discharges above the walk. If the outlet is buried in the bedding sand, the pipe has to be raised by the plumber or seawall contractor before we pave. We leave a removable course at the outlet so the pipe can be serviced later without tearing the field.
This is separate from a weep-hole collar, which protects the seawall drain slots. Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 if a return pipe is already washing the joints out of a canal-front walk.
