Flush Seawall Rod-Holder Base Plates
A flush seawall rod-holder base plate sets a fishing-rod socket into the cap or the dock pavers so the flange is not a trip edge and rinse water does not sit in the recess.
PaverForge Hardscapes cuts the opening, sets the plate, and locks the surrounding field so the holder does not rock after a season of salt and foot traffic.
What the plate has to do
Flange flush with the cap or the paver surface, not proud
Drain path so the socket does not hold bait water
Fasteners in sound concrete or a sleeved core, not in loose joint sand
Surrounding pavers restrained so the cut edge does not creep
We do not core a cap that is already spalled and call it done. If the concrete around the socket is soft, that section gets rebuilt before the plate goes in.
