Flush Seawall Rubber-Fender Backing Plates
A rubber fender on a Pinellas seawall cap needs a backing plate that sits flush with the walking surface. A proud bolt pattern is a trip edge, and a fender bolted straight into thin cap concrete crushes the cap.
What the plate is for
The plate spreads the fender load and gives the bolts a recess that can be opened later. We set it in the cap or the paver field so the lid is flush, the hardware stays stainless, and joint sand does not bury the access.
Flush lid, not a plate sitting above the cap walk
Load spread so the fender does not punch the cap
Stainless hardware and a recess that can be opened without breaking the field
Pitch so wash water leaves the recess instead of sitting on the bolts
How to start
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 with a photo of the fender, the cap, and the walk behind it. We size the plate to the fender pattern already on the wall.
