Flush Seawall Storm-Cleat Base Plates
A flush storm-cleat base plate keeps the seawall-cap pavers level around a heavy mooring cleat that still has to be inspected after a storm season. The plate is a framed opening in the cap walk, set flush so a hose and a cart still cross it.
What the plate is
The marine contractor owns the cleat, the bolts, and the load path into the wall. We own the paver bay that stays flush and lifts later. The frame is isolation, not structure for the wall.
Locate the cleat pattern with the marine contractor before the walk is locked. Set a rigid frame so the surrounding field can be compacted without dropping into the opening. Keep the pad flush with the cap walk, pitched so it does not become a pond.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets those plates on St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and the Pinellas canal lots we already work. Call 727-490-9798 or book at https://www.paverforge.com/book-online.
