Flush Seawall Through-Bolt Inspection Plates
A through-bolt ties the seawall cap, the waler, or the deadman hardware into the wall. On Pinellas canal lots the bolt head often lands exactly where the paver walk wants to run. Covering it with a locked paver field means the next repair starts with a saw cut.
A flush inspection plate is a framed opening in the cap or in the paver landing, set level with the walk. The plate lifts off, the nut and washer are reachable, and the surrounding field stays put. We isolate the plate from the paver edge so cap movement does not telegraph into the walk.
Salt, splash, and boat wake loosen these nuts. A plate does not replace a marine contractor's wall repair. It keeps the hardware findable and stops the hardscape from becoming the thing that has to be demolished first. Tell the paver crew where the bolts are before the base is compacted.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets these plates on St. Pete Beach, Shore Acres, Snell Isle, and other Pinellas canal walks. Call 727-490-9798.
