Flush Seawall Toe-Scour Inspection Plates in Pinellas
Toe scour is the washout under the landside base of a seawall. On a finished paver walk it stays hidden until the cap settles. PaverForge Hardscapes sets a flush inspection plate in the walk so the toe can be checked and filled without saw-cutting the field.
How a toe-scour plate is built
A concrete collar sized to the inspection opening, set below the paver surface.
A removable plate of the same paver or a stone lid, flush with the walk.
A joint detail that does not become a trip edge after the cap moves.
Drainage away from the opening so stormwater does not feed the scour.
The plate is a hardscape detail, not a seawall repair. If the wall is already rotating, a marine contractor should see it before the walk is reset. PaverForge builds the plate, the collar, and the surrounding field from its St. Pete Beach shop across Pinellas canals and bay lots. Call 727-490-9798 for a photo quote.
