Flush Seawall Washdown-Station Splash Collars
A flush seawall washdown-station splash collar is a restrained paver ring set level with the dock walk so salt rinse water lands on a hard field, not on open joint sand.
Why the washdown mines the joints
Every boat rinse throws salt water at one spot. Without a collar and a pitch to the cap or a drain, the spray lifts polymeric sand and leaves a bowl beside the station. The next tide finishes the cut.
PaverForge Hardscapes sets the collar in the same base as the dock walk, keeps it flush so a cart does not trip, and pitches the splash off the joint. The hose bib, backflow, and any wall penetration stay with the plumber and the seawall engineer. The collar only locks the paver field.
Collar details
Flush with the dock walk, not a raised curb
Pitch to the cap or a drain, not into the joint
Edge restraint around the splash landing
No claim on the seawall wall, the bib, or the bond
