Flush Seawall Water-Level Sensor Access Plates
Canal lots in Pinellas often hide a water-level sensor at the seawall cap. The probe tells a dock pump, a flood alert, or a pool autofill when the tide is up. Bury it under a solid paver field and the next cleaning means a saw cut.
What the plate is
A flush access plate is a small liftable paver bay set in the cap walk, directly over the sensor well. The surrounding field stays continuous. The bay comes up with a lifter so the probe can be wiped, the cable checked, and the well flushed. It is not a structural repair of the seawall.
We pitch the plate with the walk so it does not become a puddle, and we keep the joint tight enough that a heel does not catch it. The sensor stays serviceable. The cap walk stays one surface.
When to add one
Add the plate when the cap walk is being paved or re-laid, or when a sensor is already trapped under pavers. Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798. A photo of the cap and the sensor location is enough to start.
