Flush Seawall Winch-Stand Base Plates in Pinellas
A davit or boat-lift winch stand on a Pinellas seawall needs a base that can take the pull without rocking the paver field around it.
PaverForge sets flush plates and collars so the stand bolts to a stable pad, the patio stays walkable, and a later cable or gear service does not mean tearing up the coping run.
What the plate is for
The winch stand sees a side load every time a boat comes up. A sand-set paver under that foot walks, the bolts loosen, and the stand leans toward the water. A flush plate isolates that load and leaves a clean joint the rest of the field can meet.
We keep the plate at the finished paver elevation so a bare foot or a dock cart does not catch a lip. The opening stays large enough for the bolt pattern and for a socket on the nuts.
Drainage still has to leave the cap. A plate that dams the cope sends water at the seawall joint. We pitch the surrounding field off the plate and off the house.
This is a hardscape detail, not a marine-contractor certification. If the seawall, the pile, or the winch itself needs a marine review, that stays with the marine contractor. Call 727-490-9798 or PaverForge@gmail.com to set the plate with the patio.
