Generator Exhaust Clearance Pads on Pinellas Paver Yards
A standby generator pad that only matches the skid is too small. Exhaust needs a clear path away from windows, screen cages, and the AC intake. The technician also needs a standing surface on the service side, not mulch.
What the pad is for
PaverForge Hardscapes builds the pad beyond the unit: a level paver field on a compacted base, isolated from the house slab so vibration does not telegraph indoors. The exhaust side stays open. We do not box the unit into a solid wall that traps heat or points discharge at a bedroom window.
The electrical contractor sets the unit, the transfer switch, and the gas connection. We set the hardscape around those clearances and leave a conduit sleeve if the line is not already in. Polymeric sand stays out of the gap under the skid so the unit can be lifted later.
Book the pad with the generator install
Call 727-490-9798 before the generator is set, not after the mulch is in. Photos of the proposed side yard, the nearest window, and the AC condenser are enough to start. We work St. Pete Beach, Seminole, Largo, and the rest of Pinellas from the same shop.
