Iowa Avenue NE is a short Shore Acres block on the canal side of northeast St. Petersburg. Courtyards here sit low. A field that drains toward the lanai will stain the slider track after the first summer storm.
What the courtyard actually needs
We excavate past the loose sand and build a compacted aggregate base. Pitch leaves the house and finds an outfall that is already legal, not a new low spot against the seawall. Edge restraint locks the border so the pattern does not walk.
Through-body color holds up better than a painted face in this salt air. Sealing waits until the field has settled and the joints are full.
