Isolating a Pool Chemical-Feed Pump Skid from the Equipment Pad
A peristaltic or diaphragm feed pump on the same pavers as the filter pad drips acid and vibrates the joints loose. PaverForge Hardscapes sets the skid on its own isolated pad.
Why the pad is separate
The skid pad is a small raised or flush paver island with a containment lip or a drain that does not cross the main equipment pad. Vibration stays on the skid. Spill stays in the containment. The technician can pull the pump without lifting the whole equipment field.
We do not pipe, wire, or calibrate the feeder. The pool contractor sets the pump. We set the hardscape so the pad is level, reachable, and pitched away from the house slab.
Screen cages and salt air
On St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, and Tierra Verde cages, salt air eats a steel skid frame. The pad still needs a gap at the cage footer so the beam and the pavers can move apart. A darker soldier course hides chemical stain.
Call PaverForge Hardscapes at 727-490-9798 when the equipment pad is being rebuilt and a chemical feeder is in the scope.
FAQ
Can the feeder sit on the existing filter pad? Only if the pad is sound and a containment tray is added. A cracked pad gets rebuilt. Do you supply the pump? No. We build the pad the pump sits on.
