Long Bayou Neighborhood Driveways in Seminole
Long Bayou sits south of Park Boulevard in Seminole, where canal lots meet a water table that rises after a summer rain. A driveway that looks solid on a mainland street will cup here if the base is thin or the pitch dumps stormwater at the garage.
What the lot actually needs
We measure the city apron, the side-yard staging path, and the high-water mark after a rain. Then we excavate to a depth that leaves compacted aggregate under the field, not a couple of inches of sand over native soil. Canal-lot sand does not lock a paver field by itself.
The edge restraint is pinned so the first course does not walk toward the seawall or the street. Pitch runs away from the slab and toward a legal outfall, not into the neighbor's side yard or the canal cap.
Salt air and joint lock
We specify through-body color concrete pavers and a rigid edge that can take salt air. Polymeric sand goes in only after the field is clean and dry. A seal on a dirty or wet field just traps the problem.
