Louisiana Avenue NE Shore Acres Walkways
Louisiana Avenue NE runs through the same Shore Acres grid, where front walks often sit lower than the lawn after years of irrigation and foot traffic. The walk is the first thing a guest sees, and it is also the path that floods first when a summer cell sits over the bay.
Why these walks rock
Oak roots lift one edge. The opposite edge sinks into sugar sand. Sprinkler overspray keeps the joint sand soft, so the field opens and the edging pulls away from the turf. A walk that was fine in January cups by August.
We reset Shore Acres walkways so the path meets the porch, the driveway, and the side gate without a trip lip. Where a root is the cause, we adjust the section around it instead of pretending a new sand bed will hold.
What we check on a walk-through
Height at the porch step and at the driveway joint
Cross-slope so water leaves the walk, not the house wall
Root heave and irrigation heads that sit inside the field
Whether the existing pavers can be reused
PaverForge Hardscapes installs and re-levels walkways in Shore Acres and the rest of Pinellas. Call 727-490-9798 or use the book-online page. A few photos of the low edge and the porch joint are enough to start a quote.
