Pool Vacuum-Port Recess Rings in Pinellas Paver Decks
A pool vacuum port that sits proud of a paver deck catches toes and lounge chairs. A port buried under a full paver is useless the first time the cleaner hose needs it. PaverForge Hardscapes cuts a recess ring so the vac-lock fitting stays reachable and flush.
Fit and drainage
The ring is a small lift-out frame of cut pavers around the port, set on a compacted pocket so it does not rock. We keep a hair of fall away from the fitting so deck water does not sit in the recess. The port itself stays the pool contractor’s fitting; we do not move plumbing, we only set the hardscape around it.
On salt-system decks the ring uses the same paver as the field so the color does not flash. A micro-chamfer unit is easier on bare feet than a full-chamfer edge at the ring. Joints around the ring get polymeric sand after the deck is compacted, with a bond break so the ring can still come up.
Where it belongs
Place the ring outside the main walking line from the slider to the steps, and clear of the automatic cover track. If the port is already in a bad spot, we can shift the border, not the pipe, so the lid is out of the traffic path. Call PaverForge at 727-490-9798.
