Paver Re-Leveling and Re-Lays in St. Pete Beach

Settled driveways, rocking patio stones, and joints that washed out after storms. If the pavers are still sound, we reset the base and put them back.

New install is a different article. This one is for surfaces that already exist and have moved.

When re-leveling is the right job

  • Stones dip toward the house or the pool

  • Trip edges on a walkway or patio

  • Driveway ruts where tires sit

  • Joint sand gone; ants and weeds in the gaps

  • Edge restraint failed and the field crept

  • One section failed; the rest is still tight

Re-level vs re-lay vs new install

Re-level: lift stones, fix base and grade, reset the same pavers when the stones are good and the plane is not.

Re-lay: reset a field, often with some new stones and new edge, when the pattern is blown or edges are gone.

New install: full excavation and new product when there are no pavers or the old field is not worth saving.

Why pavers sink here

South Pinellas is sand and water. A thin base, poor slope, or blocked drains show up after one wet season. Vehicles on a patio-depth base make tire lanes. Re-leveling without fixing grade and edge restraint is a short delay, not a repair.

How a re-level runs

  • Walk the plane and mark dips, rockers, and drain paths

  • Lift the failed section

  • Add or replace aggregate, compact in lifts, set slope

  • Reset stones in the original pattern

  • Restore edge restraint and joints

  • Confirm no rockers and water runs the right way

Photos that make the quote accurate

  • Wide shot of the whole area

  • Close-up of the dip or trip edge

  • Where the patio meets the house or pool

  • Standing water after rain if you have it

Areas

St. Pete Beach, Pass-a-Grille, Treasure Island, Tierra Verde, Gulfport, South Pasadena, nearby south St. Petersburg.

FAQ

Can you reuse my pavers? Usually, if they are not broken or badly spalled.

Will new fill pieces match? Existing stones keep the old color. New pieces may read slightly different until they weather.

A tight patio dip is often days. A full driveway re-lay is a different schedule.
